PAC-LV is especially used in systems containing high concentrations of salt or in control of fluid loss in saturated brine systems. PAC-LV, whose temperature stability is the same as CMC-LV, is generally more tolerant than all CMC. PAC-LV is sensitive to calcium contamination and the maximum calcium concentration should not exceed 400 ppm.
