DRILLCELL-LV is a water loss control agent used in fresh water based sludges to provide a further reduction in water loss in addition to bentonite. CMC is a cellulose-based anionic polymer, and the general dose is 1-3 lb/bbl. The Drillcel-lv water loss control feature decreases rapidly when the ambient salt concentration exceeds 50,000 ppm and the pit temperature approaches 300 ºF. The CMC API Spec 13A Part 9 used in the lignosulfonate sludges recommended in this program must meet the recommended requirements.
Usage rates;
Bentonite system: 0.5 – 2.5 kg/m3
To the polymer system :1 – 5 kg/m3
