PELLETONITE are high-quality bentonite pellets, compressed with high pressure, coated with special substances that provide controlled release. In wells with full leakage, PELLETTONITE can be applied directly to the well and expected to swell, or it can be mixed with the drilling fluid by suitable pumping methods and injected into the leaked area. PELLETTONITE, which has the ability to swell 40 times its volume, is used both for plugging leaks in leaky wells and sealing wells before cement in abandonment wells and filling wells for abandonment.
